The power cutter was first launched in 1958 as a chain saw accessory. It came about due to a request from the rescue service at a Stockholm airport for a new tool capable of freeing passengers quickly in the event of a plane crash. Fire departments around the world soon realized Partner power cutters were invaluable tools for both rescue work and fire fighting. And it didn't take long for people working in the construction industry to see just how useful these tools were for many applications, such as for cutting concrete, stone, brick, tile, steel and asphalt.
Partner Industrial and The Modern Power Cutter
In the beginning of the 1980's the sales of power cutters became such an important part of the business that a separate company was formed, called Partner Industrial Products. The purpose was to focus more on the development of Partner's product range and its worldwide distribution network. During the 1980's, Partner presented a string of revolutionary and unique technical innovations which led to a strengthened position as the cutting experts of the world.
